Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain how Culs Inquiets works, what you can expect from the travel-planning service, and the terms that apply when you choose to work with me.

Culs Inquiets is an independent travel advisory brand operated by Marc Riera Ventura. Travel-advisor services may be provided in connection with my affiliation with Fora Travel.

By using this website or engaging Culs Inquiets for travel-planning services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. What Culs Inquiets does

Culs Inquiets provides personalised travel advice and trip-planning services.

Depending on the service you choose, this may include:

• Destination research and recommendations

• Accommodation research and recommendations

• Comparing travel options

• Itinerary design

• Route and pacing recommendations

• Transportation planning

• Activity and experience recommendations

• Restaurant and food recommendations

• Practical travel planning

• Itinerary refinement

• Assistance with relevant travel bookings

• Additional planning and coordination for more complex trips

The exact services provided will depend on the planning service agreed for your trip.

2. Culs Inquiets is not the travel provider

Culs Inquiets does not own or operate hotels, airlines, tour companies, transport services, restaurants or other travel services recommended during the planning process.

Where travel arrangements are booked, the relevant travel service is provided by the applicable third-party supplier.

Where applicable, bookings may be made through my affiliation with Fora Travel or directly with the relevant travel provider.

The terms and conditions of the relevant supplier, booking platform or Fora Travel may apply separately to the booking.

3. Planning services

Before planning work begins, I will confirm the service being provided and any applicable planning fee.

The scope of work may include research, recommendations, itinerary development, communication, refinement and booking assistance depending on the service selected.

The planning service is based on the information you provide. The more accurately you describe your preferences, priorities, budget and constraints, the better the recommendations can be tailored to you.

Some services include a set number of revisions. A complete revision round means you send me feedback on the whole plan, and I update it and send it back. Small tweaks along the way do not count as a round.

• Custom trip planning and complex trip planning include two complete revision rounds.

• Accommodation planning includes up to two complete destination changes. Swapping to a different hotel within the same place does not count.

• Anything beyond that is at my discretion and may be offered as an add-on.

If your plans change significantly or the scope of the work becomes substantially more complex than originally discussed, we may need to agree on a revised scope or fee before additional work is undertaken.

4. Planning fees

Some planning services are free. Where a planning fee applies, the amount will be communicated and confirmed with you in writing before paid planning work begins.

Planning fees are separate from the price of hotels, flights, activities, transportation or other travel services.

A planning fee generally reflects the amount of research, judgement, coordination and refinement required for the trip rather than simply the number of days you are travelling.

Payment. Planning fees are invoiced through Stripe, via Fora's invoicing system. I begin paid planning work once the invoice has been paid and 24 hours have passed since you confirmed the service, unless you ask me to start sooner because your trip is urgent.

Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel for free within 24 hours of confirming the service. After that, the planning fee is non-refundable, because that is when the research and planning begin. If you ask me to start before the 24 hours are up, the free-cancellation period ends when work begins.

The planning fee covers my time and expertise. It does not depend on whether you ultimately book a trip, travel, or book with someone else.

Cancellation and refund rules for hotels, flights and other bookings are separate. They are set by the relevant provider (see section 6).

5. How Culs Inquiets is paid

Some of my services are free to you. When you book through me, hotels and other travel partners, including through Fora Travel, may pay me a commission. This is part of how I can offer some services without a planning fee.

It does not change the independence of my advice. I recommend what I think fits your trip, and you are never obliged to book through me.

6. Bookings

When a booking is made through Fora or another travel provider, that booking may be subject to the provider's own terms and conditions, including payment, cancellation, amendment and refund policies.

Culs Inquiets does not control those policies.

Where applicable, I can help communicate with the relevant travel provider regarding changes or issues, but I cannot guarantee that a provider will approve a requested change, cancellation or refund.

7. Travel documents and requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the documents and requirements necessary for your trip.

This may include:

• Passports

• Visas

• Entry permissions

• Vaccinations or health requirements

• Travel insurance

• Driving permits

• Other documents required by a destination or travel provider

I may provide information or point you towards relevant resources, but requirements can change and should be independently confirmed with the relevant authorities or provider before travel.

8. Travel information

Travel information, including prices, availability, schedules, entry requirements, opening hours and travel conditions, can change.

Recommendations are based on information available at the time they are made.

I will make reasonable efforts to provide useful and current information, but I cannot guarantee that information supplied by third parties will remain unchanged.

9. Changes to your trip

If you change your plans after planning has begun, the amount of additional work required may change.

Changes such as new destinations, substantially different dates, additional travellers or significant itinerary changes may require additional planning, beyond the revisions included in your service (see section 3).

Where this would materially change the scope of the service, I will discuss it with you before carrying out additional paid work.

10. Problems during travel

Travel does not always go according to plan.

If an unexpected issue occurs during your trip, you can contact me by message or email and I will do what I reasonably can to help you understand your options or communicate with the relevant provider.

The level of assistance depends on the service you purchased:

• Complex trip planning includes on-trip support. I am available during Indochina Time (Vietnam based) by email or WhatsApp, and I will reply as promptly as I can, treating your message as a priority. This includes helping you adjust your plans on the trip.

• For other services, I am happy to help if something goes wrong, for example a problem with a booking I helped you make. I cannot guarantee full support throughout your trip.

For emergencies, you should contact the appropriate local emergency service or relevant authority first.

11. Third-party services

Recommendations and bookings may involve third-party suppliers.

Culs Inquiets is not responsible for the acts, omissions, failures, delays, cancellations, overbookings, changes, service quality or other conduct of independent third-party providers.

Any claim relating directly to a hotel, airline, tour operator, transportation company or other travel provider should normally be addressed with that provider or the booking intermediary involved.

I will, where appropriate, help you communicate with the relevant provider.

12. Accuracy of information provided by you

You are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to your trip.

This includes information such as:

• Names and traveller details

• Travel dates

• Destinations

• Budget

• Preferences

• Special requirements

• Passport or document information where required for a booking

If incorrect or incomplete information results in a problem with your trip or booking, Culs Inquiets cannot be responsible for that resulting issue.

13. Intellectual property

The Culs Inquiets website, branding, written content, photography, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Culs Inquiets unless otherwise stated.

You may view and use the website for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, republish, modify, distribute or commercially use Culs Inquiets content without permission.

14. Website availability

I aim to keep the Culs Inquiets website available and accurate, but I do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.

The website may occasionally be updated, changed or temporarily unavailable.

15. Limitation of responsibility

Culs Inquiets provides travel-planning and advisory services based on the information available and the circumstances known at the time.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would not be permitted by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Culs Inquiets is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including actions or failures of third-party travel providers, cancellations, delays, changes in schedules, weather, natural events, strikes, government actions, border restrictions or other events beyond reasonable control.

16. Relationship with Fora Travel

Culs Inquiets is an independent travel-advisor brand operated by Marc Riera Ventura.

Where services or bookings are provided through Fora Travel, Fora's applicable terms, policies and booking conditions may also apply.

Nothing on this website is intended to replace or override the terms that apply between you and Fora Travel or another travel provider in connection with a booking.

17. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

The latest version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.

If you are already working with Culs Inquiets when a material change is made, the terms applicable to your existing engagement will not be changed retroactively unless otherwise agreed or required.
